Alle paar Jahre wird zum 1 Mai von den Burschen der jeweiligen Orte die Tradition des "Maibaumaufstellens" gepflegt. Im Jahr 2003 wurde auch in Benediktbeuern ein neuer 42 mtr. hoher Maibaum ohne Kran mit reiner Muskelkraft aufgestellt.
